Hayden made it!!

Is it by luck or is it the fact that Hayden worked so hard to get to this day. My feeling is Hayden has worked for it. Both him and Rossi had their fair share of misfortune on the track. In the end of the day Hayden got what he deserves. A chance at the world championship title, and he took it with arms wide open. Systematically he moved his way up to the top. Got knocked down, but got up and kept at it. perseverance is what matters in the end. Do not allow little events to cloud or hide your end goal. Know what you want, and grab it with all you have.

Congratulations to Nicky Hayden, his team and his family!

Moto GP Valencia (MotoGP 2006)

The Circuito de la comunitat Valenciana was completed in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP and spanish motorcycle Championships in the same year. The Cheste track has several layouts, running anticlock wise with varying lengths. Moto GP events are held on a 4km track comprising of five right handed corners, eight left handers and a 650m straight. Although the track is regarded as quite small, the pit complex contains 48 garages whilst the stadium style grandstands can seat up to 150.000 spectators. The circuit layout helps to create a unique atmosphere enjoyed by Spanish and international riders alike and as the last race of the season there is sure to be a party feeling to the grand prix this year.

Now lets hear some feedback. What do you guys think the results will be? Who is going to be the top 5 in Valencia and who will be the top 5 overall? This final race will be intense and ANYthing can happen. Dont write off Nicky Haydens chances yet. It is slim but possible. Then again, will Valentino Rossi allow Nicky Hayden to to win? Where does Dani fit into all of this?

Sunday was a sad day indeed!!

It is still in the beginning of the race. Nicky, prepairing to drop his knee taking the corner tight in his chase to catch up with world champion Valentino Rossi. He can make it. Technically the world championship is in his reach. He can smell it, he can taste it. He can feel the victorious air as he beats Valentino Rossi. This dream was shattered by his very own team mate Dani Pedrosa as he tries to overtake Hayden on the inside in a very tight corner. This is a disaster. This cannot be! My own team mate? There goes my chance to beat Valentino!!

To me this was a very sad event! Hayden deserved to win Rossi! Rossi had his chance, and it is time some one shows Rossi the MotoGP is not only about Rossi, but about the other riders as well. It feels like the entire sport revolves around Rossi. Rossi somehow became MotoGP. Don’t get me wrong, I think Valentino Rossi is a very good person, an amazing sportsman, but the fame is getting to him. Hayden had to win. It was his turn. He made an Incredible climb to top only to be knocked back down by his very own team mate’s drive to win. One stupid mistake. inside corner, to fast, end of the race for Honda :`(
